G'Day Steve
I like the look of the targets. Will the fur line be printed on the targets to stop any of the "is it in or not "comments on the range.

Hi Tony,

If you double click on the photo's to open them up in a larger size you can see the red score zones including the fur line.

Hi Tim
I saw the zones, I just wanted it to be confirmed that the fur line will be printed, as there was talk of only printing the 20/18 zones.

Regards
Tony

What you see is what you get, the fur/feather line will be on all targets and that ensures that consistency in all those calling scores. we are currently working on getting the same line done on the existing targets as well.

Michael, just got off the phone with Steve and he has put up a link to the Action Graphics website which gives prices and options for extra targets. Basically the standard set of 26 targets (8 group ones, 6 group two's and 4 of each of the rest of the groups) will set you back $411.52. These targets, in my opinion, represent the biggest forward step for the Field Division of our Association and I am proud to have been involved in this development. Many thanks to all who contributed their photographs and remember that if you didn't get your name on a target (I missed out!) that there are targets that are not quite up to scratch and will need to be replaced, so keep your high quality pics coming in and remember that this is only the beginning, there will be a second set of targets so that variety is available.

They look great. :good:
Will individual targets be available for sale or will we need to purchase a complete set?

Brilliant!!!, can't wait to put a few holes in them.
Interested to see how the scoring goes while everyone gets used to the new zones.
Congrats to all involved in organising them.
Will be great for wet shoots where the paper targets just don't last.

I should have mentioned in my earlier post that the new targets are on a poly banner material (which also contributes to the high cost) which is waterproof and should not require any backing material - simply attach to butts with baling hooks (this may not always be the case for the larger targets, only time and experience will tell. The targets should be easy to put out and take in and obviously storage will not be a problem and they will have a considerably longer life than paper targets. The first trial of these targets will be the Orange Walkabout shoot on the 23/24 Jan. All looks good to shoot these targets at the Safari. I will include a double spread in the March mag of the targets and hopefully a third page vertical strrip of the targets which can be removed and laminated for reference on the course.

Eric and Steve,

Would it be possible to have the vertical strip somewhere on the site? It will just save having to pull a page out of the mag.

Cheers Tim

Tim, once I get the target spread layed up for the March mag I will ask Steve to post the PDF so that it can be downloaded for use on the field course.
