As a member of the Association you can claim game, obtain recognition badges and awards and also be in the running for the Australian Bowhunter of the Year Award. In point form below are a the main reasons as generally accepted by most.
You will find that the Field shoots that are held at all levels (Club, Branch, National and International) are so much fun, you will meet people from all walks of life with a common interest in Archery. It is a healthy activity as you are walking around the archery course, in generally shady, and a bush seting. Being sun smart helps the enjoyment too. It is an activity that the whole family can enjoy together. The fellowship and the sharing of knowledge or just plain sitting around a campfire in the cooler months chatting about everything is a wonderful thing to experience.
